Dinas Powys Voluntary Concern.
MEMORY CAFÉ. Held on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at the Murchfield Community Centre, Sunnycroft Lane, Dinas Powys. Coffee and cake for anyone affected by early stages of dementia including family, friends and carers.
Concerts and Cakes is a series of new matinee concerts at the Memo Arts Centre, fully accessible for people living with Dementia and their carers. The first Concerts and Cakes matinee concert is on Wednesday 16 January at 1:30pm (doors open at 1pm) Tickets for those living with Dementia are just £1, and carers go free. The concerts are also open to those who would enjoy a lovely afternoon of live music, and those tickets are £5.00. All tickets include either a tea or coffee with a delicious slice of cake

Dementia Friendly Cinema
in Barry Memo
Cine-Memories is a programme of monthly afternoon screenings for everyone to enjoy. These relaxed film screenings are specifically tailored for people living with dementia, their carers and families and they aim to make cinema more accessible, by providing an inclusive experience, in a safe and welcoming environment.

Join us from 1:00pm in our café bar to catch up with a friend over a drink, or enjoy some dementia friendly activities with new friends, before our film screening starts at 1:30pm.

Age Connect Cafe Memories Cafe. Holton Rd. Barry
Age Connects Cardiff and the Vales Senior Health Shop, at 38 Holton Road, Barry, are offering a weekly Memories café on each Thursday morning, 10am until 12 noon, the café will be still open to all, but with a special slant to those walking on the Dementia path. We look to provide, café, papers, games, music, adult colouring books, occasional information sessions.
We are looking to have sessions of information and therapies such as hand massage & reflexology. We are happy to have your suggestions too, we want this time to be fun, relaxing and useful.

We will have an IT area and information desk open for those seeking support and information, and volunteers on hand to help, plus we will be booking nail cutting sessions once each month to follow the café time, this will have a cost of £13, and be done in the café area where we hope people will feel relaxed and at home and have a cuppa while they wait.

So…. for those diagnosed, and for families, friends and carers…. this is your time…. your space…. our help
